Fire Intumescent Pad 2 Gang for Metal Flush Box

This intumescent pad fits behind a 2-gang metal flush wiring accessory box to help restore the fire integrity of a fire-rated wall or ceiling at the point of penetration. The intumescent material expands when exposed to heat, sealing the box aperture to resist the passage of flame and hot gases through the barrier. It suits a standard 2-gang metal flush (back) box, nominally 146 x 86 mm. In addition to fire performance, intumescent box pads of this type also provide an acoustic benefit at the socket or switch position. Supplied as a single pad.
