SKU 10224 is a 2-gang extension box in pre-galvanised steel, 35mm deep, manufactured to BS 4662. An extension box fits over an existing flush-mounted knockout box to add installation depth, used where the original box sits too deep in the wall or where a deeper wiring accessory must be accommodated. It suits standard 2-gang (double) switches and socket outlets taking a 146 x 86mm faceplate, with a body footprint of approximately 129 x 68mm. The pressed-steel construction carries cable-entry knockouts and fixing lugs for mounting the accessory, and the galvanised finish gives corrosion resistance.
