The Thermahood TH001 is a downlight cover (an accessory, not a luminaire) fitted over a recessed downlight in the ceiling void. Its cone/tapered round form measures approximately 205x165x133mm and is moulded from flame-retardant, self-extinguishing plastic. The cover keeps loft insulation off the light fitting, allowing insulation to be laid continuously across the ceiling, which reduces heat loss and air leakage around the downlight cut-out and helps limit condensation. The manufacturer references UL94 flammability and IEC 695-2-1 fire hazard testing. Note this is the self-extinguishing plastic cover, not an intumescent certified fire hood. Supplied in a pack of 60.
