Flat Twin & Earth (T&E) cable, type 6242Y, supplied on a 50m drum. Two 6mm² ETP copper current-carrying conductors — brown (line) and blue (neutral) — with PVC (thermoplastic) insulation, plus a circuit protective conductor (CPC), enclosed in a flat PVC sheath. Manufactured to BS 6004 / EN 50525 and voltage rated 300/500V. The 6mm² conductors are Class 2 stranded plain annealed copper with a maximum conductor operating temperature of 70°C. 6242Y is a flat thermoplastic cable for fixed wiring in dry interior locations.
